Understanding Mesothelioma and Getting Legal Help

Mesothelioma is a rare cancer and it affects the protective lining that covers vital organs. The main cause of mesothelioma is asbestos. It is very common in the chest wall and the lungs. However, it can also effect the heart and abdominal cavity too. It has been found in the vaginal cavity of women.

Most people that show signs of the disease have work in auto plants, shipyards and a variety of manufacturer plants that had a high level of asbestos on site. Many family members of the workers have show similiar symptoms after handling the clothes of the mesothelioma victim. The glass and asbestos dust particles were inhaled from the clothes.

Researchers have not found any links between smoking and mesothelioma. Many people over the years have sought out legal help regarding their exposure to mesothelioma. Many attorneys have helped victims reach settlements for pain, suffering and death for the disease.

Sign of the disease will include shortness of breath, chest pain and unexplained weight loss. Most medical professionals can detect the cancer with a CT scan, x-ray and following it up with a biopsy. Some may place a tube with a camera into the chest wall to search for the cancer which is called a thoracscopy.

If you suspect yourself or a loved one may have mesothelioma, see a doctor right away and find an attorney that can help you immediately.

Sexual Addiction is it Real?

What is a sex addict?  It is a person that is unable to control their sexual tendencies.  They are very compulsive in sexual behavior.  Over the recently years many psychological experts compared it to a drug addiction.

In some cases those with sexual addiction also have addictions to drugs and alcohol too.  There are also experts that believe the whole concept of sexual addiction is bogus and dismiss the entire thing as cultural influences.

Many people with the addiction also have problems keeping relationships and usually go through a series of lovers constantly.  The Mental and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) classify sexual addition as a mental disorder.

There is another psychological term called Hypersexuality which is an overactive sex drive or someone that engage in compulsive sexual activities.  Overactive sex drives are classified as Satyriasis for males and Nymphomania in females.

Is there a treatment?  Some experts offer treatment for sexual addiction similar to drug addiction.  Many people with this addiction will not come forward and may try to seek treatment through religious means.  There are online web sites that offer help for the sexual addiction. With drug addiction you can test a person if you suspect they have taken any substances.  Sexual addition cannot be tested or measured.
